The format for 2025 remains as it has been for many years. Eight teams in a group playing each other either home or away on a two year rotational cycle.
The top 3 from each of the five divisions qualify for a seeded last 16 alongwith the best placed 4th place team across all divisions.
The ECB announced in December 2024 they would no longer be supporting the competition.

2024 Summary:
The team reached the quarter-final stage of the ECB 50+ competition for the first time since 2018 losing to Essex at St Just.
3 players played all 8 matches : Captain Sean Hooper, Dave Lockett and Steve Eddy whilst Martyn Bevins, Leigh Murray, Dave Neville, Rob Eccleston, Spencer Ham and Simon Beare played 6. 19 players played at least one match.
