Brief History - (more detail in milestones below)

The first O50s county championship match was against Wiltshire at Falmouth in 1984. 

We launched an O60s team in 2009 but it folded in 2012 only to be revived in 2019.

The O50s 2nd XI started in 2017, the 3rd XI in 2023, the O60s 2nd XI in 2022 and we launch an O70s team in 2025.

First Century: Stuart Storey O50s 1st XI 114 v Channel Islands 1993

Highest Score: Jim McKenna O50s 1st 152 v Channel Islands 2017

First Five for: Paul Knight O50s 1st XI 5-28 v Channel Islands 1991

Best Bowling: Jeremy Bradley O50s 2nd XI 7-44 v Somerset 2022

Highest Partnership: Vic Voyzey and Mike Richards O50s 1st XI 231 v Isle of Wight 2002

2025:

  • O70s Championship side launched 

2024:

  • O50s 3rd XI win the West group and share the Championship Trophy
  • O50s 1st XI reach ECB quarter final - first time since 2018
  • O50s 2nd XI group runners up
  • Anton Luiten becomes first player to reach 5000 runs and 150 matches
  • O60s 2nd XI win their first ever match 

2023:

  • O50s 3rd XI Launched
  • O70s play a friendly v Somerset
  • O60s 1st XI reach the Bowl Final 
  • Trevor Lee becomes the 3rd player to reach 100 'caps'

2022:

  • O50s 2nd XI - 50+ 2nd XI County Championship Runners Up and West Group Winners 
  • O60s 1st XI - South West Group Winners - and including end of 2021 record 12 successive wins
  • O60s 2nd XI Launched
  • Jon Nance and Anton Luiten are invited to an England O60s trial 

2021:

  • O60s 1st XI - National Vase Winners
  • O50s 2nd XI - Plate semi-finalists
  • Anton Luiten becomes the 2nd player (after Geoff Husband) to reach 100 'caps'

2019:

  • O50s 2nd XI - West Group Runners Up  
  • O60s 1st XI - Relaunched after folding in 2012 

2018:

  • O50s 1st XI - Group Runners Up and National Quarter-Finalists

2017:

  • O50s 1st XI - National Quarter-Finalists 
  • O50s 2nd XI Launched 
  • O50s 2nd XI - Play Off Semi-Finalists 

2015:

  • O50s 1st XI - South West Group Winners and National Semi-Finalists - 8 wins on the trot is a new record run 

2014:

  • O50s 1st XI - Reach the last 16 knockout stages for the first time after being the best placed 4th team. 

2012:

  • O60s 1st XI - Folds after 4 years 

2009:

  • O60s 1st XI - Launched 

2003:

  • O50s 1st XI - Competition reorganised to 7 match league - same structure still operating in 2025

1989:

  • O50s 1st XI - Competition expanded to 6 games played 

1984:

  • O50s 1st XI - Joins National County Championship Competition - one game played v Wiltshire
