Werrington - Werrington 306-9 (M Gribble 64, N Lawson 58, B Smeeth 34, S Hockin 24, A Jenkin 20, P Smith 20, extras 33, penalty runs 20 (slow over rate), Penzance 167 (M Stevens 95, J Fletcher 24; A Smeeth 3-15, S Hockin 3-37). Werrington beat Penzance by 139 runs in a game reduced to 46 overs.

 

St Just v Grampound Road. Match postponed at 10am due to rain and fog.

 

SATURDAY HEADLINES

 St Austell are the new leaders in the Jolly’s Drinks  ECB Cornwall Premier League after winning at Falmouth by 133 runs.

St Austell made 205 with Mike Bone making 57.

 Falmouth were shot out for 72 with Callum Wilson taking five for 33.

 Grampound Road are up to second after an eight wicket home win over Newquay.

 Newquay were bowled out for 160 and the home side responded with 161 for 2. Matt Manuell made 62.

Truro won a low scoring game at home to Werrington by two wickets. Rob Harrison took five for 23 as Werrington only managed 71.

 Truro were 39 for 6 before Kelvin Snell’s 23 proved crucial in their 74 for 8.

 St Just were early winners at home to Camborne, who were all out for 82. Callum  Donnelly took 5 for 14. St Just won for the loss of four wickets.

 Redruth’s good form continued with a seven wicket win at Penzance, who were all out for 201. Neil Hornbuckle picked up 5 for 26. Martin Jenkin then hit 83 as Redruth replied with 203 for three.

 

In County Division 1 the leaders Helston won at St Gluvias by 79 runs but second placed Hayle lost at Beacon. The results were

 Helston 229 all out beat St Gluvias 150 all out

 Hayle 186 all out lost to Beacon 192 for 4

 Callington 356 for 5 beat St Minver 213 all out

 Launceston 218 all out beat Gorran 194 all out

 Roche 202 all out lost to Ludgvan 204 for 6

 Menheniot Looe 164 all out lost to Wadebridge 165 for 8
