Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you have any concerns about a child or the behaviour of an adult, or about an adult you should share these immediately.

Safeguarding means protecting a person's right to live and play in safety, free from abuse and neglect. All children and adults have the right to be safe

Cornwall Cricket and The England and Wales Cricket Board are firmly committed to providing an environment that is safe and welcoming for children and adults to enjoy the game

How might you become aware of a concern?

  • A concern might happen in the club
  • You may hear about things that have happened outside the club
  • You may see signs of abuse
  • You may notice they look distressed or unhappy
  • You may be concerned about someone’s physical or mental wellbeing
  • There may be other indicators that may alert you to raise a concern

What should you do if there is a concern?

If a child is at immediate risk do not hesitate to call the Police or the Local Authority Designated Officer (01872 326536)

ECB encourage anyone with any concerns to contact them.

You can do this by calling or emailing one of them on 020 7432 1200 or by emailing [email protected]. Alternatively, please contact the NSPCC.
