Surfaces are vital for player development and enjoyment of the game, the pitch along with outfields and practice facilities. Providing appropriate, safe clean facilities breaks down barriers to participation and will encourage people to come into clubs. Cricket facilities need to be more than just cricket; people expect more today than in the past, clubs need access to the Internet and high levels of hospitality to be sustainable.
