Umpiring is a key facet of running any cricket, from women's, youth and open cricket on a Saturday afternoon. Many will say that through playing they will understand umpiring and have done it, but do you fully understand the laws, where to stand and the LBW law?  The new ECB course will give you that knowledge and we can strongly recommend attending and committing to it, you will learn new things!

There are two courses coming up, details below.

To support the accessibility, Cornwall Cricket Board have agreed to subsidise the course, currently at £70 by the sum of £40. So you can do the course for £30. You or your club will need to pay the fee first, but upon completion we will reimburse the fee of £40.00 to the payee.

The Cornwall Cricket League, have also agreed to fund the course by a further £35 if you stand in 5 League games. So you could complete the course for £5.00!!

The course is open to anyone aged 14+, so please send it around your older age groups. Many of these players will be playing open age cricket so it surely would be beneficial to them to give them confidence to stand on a saturday or within junior cricket matches.
