All Stars Camps

Softball camps designed for children aged between 5-8 years of age who are stepping into cricket for the first time. They are fun inclusive activities that will allow them to experiene batting, bowling and fielding in fun games. The fundamentals of movement, the ABCs, agility, balance and coordination.

There will be limited places per camp to allow 1-8 player to coach ratio.

Dynamos Camps

Softball camps designed for children aged between 8-11 years of age who are progressing from All Stars and have had some experience of playing softball cricket. The camps will be fun and inclusive. The activities that start to develop skills with batting, bowling and fielding, but also game play.

There will be limited places per camp to allow 1-12 player to coach ratio.

Introduction to Hardball Camps

This is for players who have had experience in softball cricket and have come from All Stars or Dynamos cricket. Players that have not yet ventured into junior club hardball cricket.

You do not need to have your own hardball kit, this will be provided by Cornwall Cricket. But, it is suggested that you buy a 'box' protector which is personal to your child (boys only). You can get these online or from a sports equipment supplier.

Club Hardball Camps

To attend this camp, you need to have played club cricket in a hardball match, either a league / friendly cricket match. This is to allow the coaching workforce to focus on skill development with a similar level of ability. If you have not played this level, we recommend that you attend the 'Introduction to hardball' camps.

These camps will develop skills in batting, bowling, fielding and wicket keeping.

It is suggested that you have your own kit, but for those that don't, please don't worry, Cornwall Cricket will be able to provide some. But, it is suggested that you buy a 'box' protector which is personal to your child (boys only). You can get these online or from a sports equipment supplier.

Food and Drink

All participants will need to provide their own food and drink during the camp.

Kit

For the All Stars and Dynamos Softball Camps, all kit will be provided. It is suggested that children don't bring any equipment with them, however, Cornwall Cricket Board can't be responsible for equipment that gets lost if it is brought.

Wi-Fi and Refreshments

For parents wishing to work at the Cornwall Cricket Centre, whilst their child(ren) are active at the camp, there is free wi-fi and we will provide refreshments, teas, coffees during the camp.

Wet Weather

We are unfortunately not in control of the weather, as such if camps get interrupted by rain during the camp, we will move indoors and carry out wet weather activities. Such activities could be, captaincy, field placings, match reporting etc.

In the event of bad weather, we will of course make a call as early as possible as to the camp continuing or moving indoors where possible?
