Friday 28^th October saw the return of the Cornwall Cricket Board golf day after a 2year break due to Covid. This year’s event was held at St Austell golf club for the first time. 13 teams of 4 entered and were hoping for a Sunny autumnal day. Luckily the weather gods were kind to us and with the course in great condition despite the hot Summer a great day was had with some very competitive golf being played. Once the golf had been played everyone enjoyed ham, egg and chips and looked forward to the presentation and the drawing of the raffle which had some outstanding prizes in it.

1^st - Paul CC (K.Bowden, R.Williams, R.Rojano, A Snell) Nett Score: 53

2^nd - Redruth CC (P.Kent, P.Bolland, L.Brock, S.Parker-Billinge) Nett score: 53.1

3^rd - St Ives CC (J.Scott, S.McKenna, D.Angove, E.Green) Nett score: 53.2

Not much to choose between the top 3.

Also, to all businesses that donated a raffle prize of which there are too many to mention and St Austell golf club for hosting us. A special thanks must go to or photographers for the day which were Richardson Photography; a new local business that are trying to establish themselves across many forms of photography, look them up on Facebook.  In total over £1200 was raised which will all go back into supporting cricket in Cornwall. A date for next years event has been pencilled in for Friday 27^th October, hopefully we can beat this year’s total raised.
