Caitlin Burnett leaves Cornwall Cricket
We announce that Caitlin Burnett is leaving Cornwall Cricket Board on Friday 16th September to embark on an exciting trip to Australia!
Caitlin has been with Cornwall Cricket for almost a year to the day. Caitlin initially joined as part of a work placement scheme for 9 months, which successfully developed into a full time role with Cornwall Cricket Board as School and Club Development Officer for the mid part of Cornwall. Caitlin has developed understanding and experience in multiple areas of the business. This included, though not exhaustive, Cricket Centre duties such as bookings and running the indoor competition.
Caitlin's enthusiasm and infectious smile whether via cricket holiday camps, National Programmes (Allstars and Dynamos) and schools, has ensured 1000's of children involment in cricket! Caitlin also initiated, ran and concluded a successful project to incorporate more women, already associated to other team sports, into cricket!
When Caitlin was asked; 'what was one of your highlights being with Cornwall Cricket?' she replied 'Schools coaching in particular. Especially by making the children happy and excited for cricket and creating a buzz for the sport.'
All in Cornwall Cricket wish Caitlin well with her next adventure in Australia (playing and coaching). We'll keep an eye out on your progress. Thank you and have a fantastic time!
