The  78th  Andrew Cup Final was played out in dry and warm conditions as the July heatwave continued.

Both teams were making their first final appearances.

League Vice-Chair Robert Jobson made the presentations on behalf of Anthony Vingoe from the sponsors.

Having been put in, Rosudgeon got off to a positive start, being 80 without loss after ten overs. 

Skipper Treve Polglase (53) and Jack Edwards (39) put on 96  in 12.4 overs before Hamza Taj got the breakthrough, with Ned Tinkler holding the catch.

Polglase hit a six and 9 fours off 43 balls.

St Erme were able to restrict the total to 152-4 with Luke Cummins unbeaten on 35 off 23 balls.

The St Erme reply saw early wickets fall with Ben Martin picking up 3-18.

The innings slipped to 27-4 at the beginning of the fifth over.

Charlie Mitchell, Jalees Ul Hasan and Colin Tinkler all made 22 to see the hundred up.

Fifteen-year-old left-arm spinner Max Jacka had the last say.

Bowling the eleventh over, his first three balls went for 14, but the next ball had Ul Hasan caught.

He then went on to take five for 31 off four overs to be named the 'Bunny Williams'  Player of the Match.

St Erme were dismissed for 110 with three overs to spare.

Rosudgeon & Kenneggy win the Andrew Cup for the first time.
