Cornwall Cricket Board Seeks Community Feedback to Shape the Future of Cricket in Cornwall

The Cornwall Cricket Board, the governing body for recreational cricket in the county, is launching a comprehensive survey to gather feedback from the local cricketing community for the 2024 season. Working in collaboration with our member organisations—Cornwall Cricket League (CCL), Cornwall Cricket Youth (CCY), Cornwall Association of Cricket Officials (CACO), and Cornwall Association of Cricket Groundsmen (CACG)—this initiative aims to collect valuable insights that will influence the future of cricket in Cornwall.

As part of its commitment to developing a new strategic plan, Cornwall Cricket is calling on volunteers, players, club members, parents, and spectators to participate in this important survey. The responses gathered will help shape decisions for the upcoming season and contribute to the overall growth and development of cricket within the county.

"We want to hear from as many people as possible across all levels of involvement in the sport," said Managing Director Joe Skinner. "Your input is vital as we plan for the future and continue to build on our cricketing tradition here in Cornwall."

The survey is open until November 1, 2024, and is designed to cover key areas essential for understanding the current state of cricket in the county. Participants are encouraged to complete the section that best reflects their primary role—whether as a player, volunteer, official, coach, or parent. Those who hold multiple roles are welcome to submit the survey more than once, although they will be asked to re-answer the EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) questions at the start of each submission.

The survey is estimated to take no longer than 20 minutes to complete, and responses will be treated confidentially. Cornwall Cricket assures participants that personal data will be securely stored and only used to inform discussions on a county-wide level. Further details can be found in the organization's Privacy Statement.

Cornwall Cricket urges all stakeholders in the sport to take part in this important feedback process and contribute to shaping the future of cricket in Cornwall.
