Cricket Club Workshops 2024
How inclusive and safe is your cricket club? We have created an exciting opportunity for clubs to come together to discuss the good work you are already delivering.
Cornwall Cricket Board is committed to ensuring that cricket is a game for everyone, an environment where everyone feels welcome and safe so they can develop a lifelong love of the game.
We are putting on club development workshops. Details of which can be found in the form here
We will be joined by the South West EDI and Discrimination Executive, Jane Law (Formally of Cornwall Cricket Board - Safeguarding) and Sarah Fox, Cornwall Cricket Board's Safeguarding Lead Officer.
In a recent survey carried out with clubs around 30% of clubs asked for a greater understanding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). As such we want to make sure that people's knowledge of EDI and safeguarding in their environment is supported positively. This is not an opportunity to point the finger but an opportunity to discuss around a table, best practices and what each of us is doing well to help others find their actions within their community.
With this in mind, we would welcome the following representation from clubs:
Chair
Secretary
Captains
Safeguarding Officer
Any others who may be interested
Can we ask that you do a recruitment drive within your club and let's get as many people in the room as possible. (hopefully standing room only?)
Many thanks
Cornwall Cricket Board - Development Team
