Jane Law completes - MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS training

You may have heard the compelling account given by Ben Stokes about his struggles with mental health, panic attacks, ongoing medication and the stigma he feels is attached to such issues.

In Cornwall Cricket, we want mental health to be openly discussed and supported. To that end, we are pleased to announce that Jane Law, our County Safeguarding Officer, has just joined a community of 4 million people worldwide to qualify as a Mental Health First Aider.

It is our belief that good mental health is strongly linked to good physical health and the two work together to promote overall well being. We have always considered physical first aid courses to be essential to our staff, and were delighted to have the opportunity through Healthy Cornwall to add to our staff skill set by Jane attending this intense two day course. Mental Health First Aiders can have a profound and positive impact on their communities and Jane hopes to be on hand to support clubs and individuals in any way she can.

You can contact Jane Law here should you wish to discuss anything with her.
