Welcome to the team Annie Zander -EDI Officer
Hello Cornwall Cricket Community!
I’m Annie, and I am incredibly excited to join the CCB as your new EDI Officer.
For me, this role is all about real-world connection. My goal is to work alongside you to make our clubs even more welcoming, future-proof, and accessible for everyone. Together, we can look at expanding the women’s and girls’ game, engaging underrepresented groups, and ensuring your clubhouse environments feel like an inclusive space for all. But first, I would like to learn more about your current position and needs.
My professional background is in Marketing & Communications, and I have loved sports since childhood. I hope that combining my communication skills—especially my enjoyment of connecting with people—with my firsthand experience as a Cornish sports club member and competitive athlete will help me truly support your clubs.
I moved from Germany to Cornwall ten years ago and have always enjoyed the county's great community spirit and outdoor lifestyle. In my spare time, you'll usually find me out in the elements, either in the water kitesurfing or out on the road on my bike.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be focusing on getting to know our clubs in Cornwall. My plan is to get out and about visiting your grounds to listen to your ideas and find out how I can best support you. If you see me at your local ground this season, please come over and say hello!

Annies role will be to forge connections, develop club volunteers and their environments to support people's experiences as well as setting up networks for people to share their thoughts on our game.
