Somerset County Cricket Club Confirm National County Fixtures
Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to be able to confirm the dates for two National County fixtures in 2025.
On Thursday May 15 th we will take on Devon in a T20 match at Exmouth Cricket Club.
Our second match will take place on Monday August 4 th when we face Cornwall at Wadebridge CC in a 50-over fixture.
Regarding the fixtures, Somerset CCC Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry said: “These annual matches against our National County partners are an integral element of the season.
“We are incredibly proud of the effective and mutually beneficial relationships that we have with the Counties in the South West, and fixtures like this help to strengthen and galvanise those partnerships.
“These games provide the players with valuable time in the middle and give Members and supporters the opportunity to watch elite level sport at some of the most beautiful grounds in the country.”
Nigel Mountford, Chief Executive of Devon County Cricket Club said: “Devon CCC are delighted that Somerset CCC have found a date to play us in a T20 match at Exmouth. For the Devon players, it gives them the opportunity to test themselves against some very good players. It also provides a useful practice match for Devon ahead of the NCCA T20 competition which begins on Sunday 25th May.
“The last three years have provided some really good matches between the two counties.”
Joe Skinner, Managing Director of Cornwall Cricket added: "We are delighted to have the Cornwall v Somerset CCC fixture again in 2025 and we are grateful to Somerset for agreeing to be part of what will be a great event at Wadebridge Cricket Club.
“People in Cornwall very rarely have the opportunity to watch professional cricketers due to location, so to have this accessible in the county is vital to inspire those that come to watch, whether players or spectators.
“We hope to get lifelong supporters of cricket from the event, so we would love to see as many people there as possible. The fixture also cements the excellent relationship between our two counties."
