Charlie Hawken joins Cornwall Cricket Board as Pathway Assistant
The Cornwall Cricket Board is delighted to welcome Charlie Hawken to the team as our new Pathway Assistant.
Charlie joins the board to support our player pathway, spanning from the MCCF hubs right through to the Under 18s squads. He will work closely under the stewardship of Performance Manager, Chris Hunkin.
Many within the Cornwall cricket community will already be familiar with Charlie. He has a long-standing involvement with our County Age Group programme and has been a key figure at both St Minver and Wadebridge cricket clubs over the years. Most recently, Charlie has been in Australia playing and coaching after successfully completing his degree in coaching.
Charlie Hawken added: "I am delighted to be returning home to Cornwall and joining the team in a full-time role. Coaching cricket has always been a huge passion of mine, so having the opportunity to work within the game in the county where I grew up is incredibly special. I'm excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of cricket in Cornwall."
Joe Skinner, CEO of Cornwall Cricket Board, stated: "It's really positive to have Charlie involved in our cricket pathway. Charlie's skills as a coach are excellent and his understanding of our pathway will be a real benefit to our players and their parents. He will be a great asset to all concerned."
The Cornwall Cricket Board is thrilled to have Charlie on board and looks forward to the energy and expertise he will bring to our young talent.
Welcome back, Charlie!
