South Petherwin were put in and lost Sam Pengelly for 17 to Alex Caddy in the fifth over. Billy Martin fell to Steve Kidd in the next over for 27. Adrian Warne was dismissed without scoring to Sam Jordan to make it 62-3 off seven overs. Andrew Brenton (35) and Adam Creasey (25) saw the hundred up, and with Paul Clements (15no), Adrian Clements (13) and Kevin Horrell (18) all into double figures, the innings ended on 161 with three balls unused. Kidd, Jordan and Peter Nance took two wickets. Ten sixes were hit.
Menheniot Looe took eleven off the first over but lost Luke Ripley to Adrian Clements in the next. Kidd followed in the seventh over at 42-2. Opener Findlay Farrell and Tom Harris then added 108 for the third wicket. The hundred came up in the 13th over. Off the last two overs, 17 were required and nine off the last. However, Harris was bowled by Pengelly for 46 and two balls later, the Player of the Final, Farrell likewise for 79. Five were needed off the final ball, but Jordan only managed a two to leave the North Cornwall club celebrating. Pengelly’s two crucial wickets cost 29 runs.
