Callington lead the Bond Timber Premier Division, being the only team to win all three opening games. Like the previous week at St Just, they were taken to the wire at Redruth before winning by just ten runs. The visitors posted 245-3 in their fifty overs, thanks to a solid top-order batting display. Aian Libby fell for 15 at 69 -1. Liam Lindsay made 65 and Xavie Clarke 15. Max Tryfonos (70no) and Graham Wagg (59no) then added an unbroken 103 for the fourth wicket.  The Redruth top order was in good form again, reaching 150 before losing their fourth wicket in the 35th over. With 51 needed off four overs, the task proved too much after Dulash Udayanga was stumped for 51. Justin Beaton ended on 48 not out.

Penzance are second after back-to-back wins, but they had to dig deep at Helston before winning by 15 runs. Penzance got off to a flyer but were pegged back with the introduction of spin. Lewis Goldsworthy had Christian Purchase caught for 26 at 63 in the ninth over. Goldsworthy, Steve Jenkin, Aussie leg-spinner Harry Saunders and Liam Frew all took two wickets in the 173 all out. Opener Jack Paull was third out for 48 at 95. The last two wickets added what was to prove a crucial 36 runs, with Jonny Ludlam making 27. The Helston top order was undone by Tommy Sturgess, returning to his home club. The seamer accounted for Billy Taylor, Dan Jenkin, Goldsworthy and Steve Jenkin at 25-5. He followed up with Sunny Osmont to end with figures of 10-2-21-5. From 69-6, Helston stayed in the game as the tail wagged, thanks to Saunders with 58. With 16 required, Ludlam took the last two wickets at 159 with four overs remaining.

The closest finish of the day came at Grampound Road, where Werrington won by one run. With three needed off the final ball, Nathan Keevil was run out coming back for a second. His dive just failed to beat John Moon’s throw. It was quite a comeback for the North Cornwall club, which had been 37 for five at one stage in their innings. Thulina Dilshan made 54 before the ninth wicket added 88, thanks to Dan Barnard’s 56 and Ben Jenkin with 32 not out. Antony Angove took 4-27.  The Road got to 121-1 with Dave Hoskings (25), Angove (46), and Alex Lean (68) doing well at the top of the order. In contrast,

Wadebridge had a comfortable eight-wicket home win over Truro with eleven overs to spare. Opener Wilfred Bartlett made 40 and Ted Phillips 48 as Truro were dismissed for 160 in the 42nd over. Matt Robins took 3-27. Opening the batting, he made an unbeaten 62, sharing a second wicket stand of 116 with another former County Captain, Matt Rowe, who made 59.

St Just got off the mark with a morale-boosting win at St Austell by 40 runs. It was thanks to a solid start as St Just reached 213 before losing their third wicket. Rhys Brownfield made 47, Ellis May 72, and   Neil Curnow 62 before Chami  Edirisinghe hit an unbeaten 52 in the 283-9. Adam Snowdon took 3-57. Seven home batsmen got double figures, led by Dan Jarman’s 59, with Alex Bone getting 42 and overseas, Thevindu Dickwella 35. The end came at 237 with ten balls remaining. Joe Clifton-Griffith took 3-46.

It was a day of huge winning margins in County Division One with wins by 156, 165, 198 and 207 runs respectively. Hayle are the only team to win all three games as they demolished Paul by 207 runs at the Towans. Dan Lello made 115 in the 248-6 before seventeen-year-old seamer Ronnie Shenton, playing only his third County One game, took 5-4. No visiting batter got double figures in the 41 all out. Camborne are second after beating  Newquay by 198 runs at Roskear’s Warrior Park. Skipper Alfie MacDonald made 95, sharing an opening stand of 114 with Josh Fontana (50). Dinuka Dilshan hit 76 in the 279-4. In reply, Newquay were dismissed for 81 inside 30 overs with Dan Stephens taking 5-22. Beacon reached 316-2 at home to St Austell Seconds before losing their last eight wickets for 27 runs. Opener Ben James dominated, hitting 160 off 137 balls with 8 sixes and 18 fours. Sam James (39), Callum Edgcombe (37) and Jordan Thomas (53) supported. The Saints were bowled out for 178 in the 45th over. Quasim Jamal made 40, and Ben James completed a memorable day, ending the proceedings with 3-14.

St Erme got their first win with a 40-run success at Falmouth. Sam Townsend made 47 and Sean Hooper, returning to his old hunting ground, hit 30 not out in the 187 all out. Freddie Ayliffe (33), Aidan Carter (32) and Adrian Noott (39no) top scored for the home side after they had been 57-6 following Kyle van Rooyen’s opening burst of 5-27 from ten overs. Roche are still looking for their first win after losing at Perranporth by 156 runs. Harry Watkins (54), Bryn Evans (45) and Russell Milsom (58no) got the home side to 253-8. After James Hall made three quick strikes, Roche struggled to 97 all out in the 27th over with Ty Murrell taking 4-20. James Hunkin top-scored with 29.
