Perranarworthal won the Mining Division Evening League Final at Falmouth comfortably defeating SeaView Old Boys by six wickets to claim the Michael Evans Trophy.

Their first MDEL win since 2011.

After the original date was delayed by five days due to rain ironically the final was played on one of the warmest evenings of the year.

Sea View were restricted to 87-8 in their twenty overs and not helped by three runouts.

Opener Matt Morgan held the innings together making 30 before the mandatory retired not out.

James Adams was awarded player of the match for his four overs that only cost nine runs.

Perran reached 47 without loss before Stanley Cameron (12) became one of three victims for Morgan.

Fellow opener David Angell retired not out on 30 as four wickets fell for 11 runs.

However, Carl Murphy (10no) and Gary Kos (19no) added an unbroken 32 for the fifth wicket to secure victory with almost five overs to spare.
