Kernow T20 Crash Final Standings

Redruth and Hayle top Pool A

Wadebridge and Penzance top Pool B to qualify for Finals Day at Grampound Road - date to be confirmed.

The Group stages of the Kernow T20 Crash concluded on Saturday with the weather again having its say. The Callington v Hayle and Werrington v Camborne fixtures were both cancelled. In all 26 of the 40 group games fell to the weather. Wadebridge topped Pool A with two wins at St Just. James Turpin made 100 in their 169-6 with Gareth May getting 64 in reply. Matt Robins made 61 not out in the second victory. Penzance also ensured another finals day appearance with two comprehensive victories over St Austell at St Clare by nine wickets and 83 runs. Redruth topped Pool A after two home wins over Helston. Overseas player Sumiran Amonkar made 72 not out to set up a 12-run success in the first game. Pete Howells hit 56 to gain a three-wicket success in the second tie. The cancellations meant Hayle ended up in second spot ahead of Werrington and Camborne on net run rate. The date of finals day at Grampound Road is yet to be confirmed, subject to fixture clashes.

In County Division 1 of the Bond Timber Cornwall League only Paul and Beacon are unbeaten after four rounds. Paul won at Grampound Road by 44 runs with Charlie Goldsworthy making 74 in a game reduced to 35 overs after a late start. Beacon had a ten-run win over Penzance Seconds on the DLS method after fog descended at Tolcarne Road to reduce the Penzance innings by six overs. Newquay did well to win at Falmouth by four wickets after being set 126. Truro shot Roche out for 57 at Boscawen Park and won by seven wickets. Redruth seconds won a 35-over game at Lanhydrock by 15 runs and Mullion had a three-wicket home win over St Erme. Two rescheduled games on Monday - Redruth seconds v Paul and Roche v Falmouth- were both washed out.
