CCL Divisions 2023 Confirmed

The  Bond Timber Cornwall Cricket League Divisions for 2023 have been confirmed following the usual January 1st deadline. League founder members Truro are relegated for the first time with Helston promoted to the Premier League.

In County Division One Callington seconds and Werrington seconds are relegated and replaced by Penzance seconds and Roche.

To balance east & west three teams are promoted in the remaining West Divisions.

In Division 2  Hayle 2, Ludgvan & Helston 2 replace Barripper and St Gluvias.

In Division 3  Gerrans, Praze and St Just 3 are promoted. Beacon 2 is relegated and sadly St Buryan, who joined the League in 1947 after playing in the West Penwith League from the turn of the century, have folded. They were County Champions in 1999 & 2000.

Camborne 3, Crofty Holman & Perranporth 2 move up to Division 4  replacing Mt Hawke 2.

Rosudgeon, St Day, Mawnan & Troon are promoted to Division 5 with only Porthleven relegated.

Gulval 2 have been readmitted to Division 6 where seven teams will play each other three times.

In the East St Minver & Luckett are promoted to Division 2 replacing Grampound Road 2, Tideford & Callington 3.

In Division 3 Pencarrow & Saltash St Stephens replace Werrington 3, Lanhydrock 2 and Bugle.

In Division 4  St Minver 2 & St Stephen move up at the expense of South Petherwin 2 & Bude 2.

In Division 5 St Austell 4 & Gunnislake are promoted.

Boconnoc 2 are relegated to Division 6  where Luckett 2 & Tideford 2 have been readmitted to form a seven-team division playing each other three times.

Division 6 Central has 11 teams with the good news is that Gorran has returned to the League.

With Bank Holidays no longer used in the regular schedule the season is set to start on Saturday 15 April – the earliest ever.

The final League games are on Saturday 9 September.
