For the second Saturday in  a row heavy showers swept across the county affecting some venues, whilst other managed full games. There was just the one game in the top two divisions that failed to achieve a result. That was at Hayle where Premier League leaders Penzance had to settle for abandonment when looking on course for victory. In a game reduced to 35 overs, after a downpour early in the Hayle innings, the home side struggled to 85 all out with Jonny Ludlam taking 4-6. Penzance were 42-1 in the 13^th over when rain interrupted again and there was not enough time to complete the 20 overs required for a DLS result. Wadebridge are clear in second spot after dismissing Callington for 162. They reached a revised DLS target of 137 in 37 overs by seven wickets. with nine overs to spare. St Just made 188-7 at home to St Austell in a match reduced to 41 overs after a couple of early interruptions. Max Waller top scored with 45 before Gareth May took 4-21 to bowl the Saints out for just 74. There was a thrilling finish at Camborne where a heavy downpour just before the start saw a ninety-minute delay. Ryan Downing took 4-23 to dismiss Werrington for 111. Downing then joined Dan Stephens with the final pair needing 19 for victory. They levelled the scores only for Downing to be caught in the deep by Taylor Gerry off the bowling of Ian Worsnip with 14 balls remaining. Truro remain without a win after a nine-wicket home defeat to Redruth. Karl Leathley made 54 and Toby Whiteford 48 to knock off the 132 required.

In County Division 1 the top four all won. Beacon made short work of Mullion bowling them out for just 35 and going on to win by six wickets. A delayed start at Callington saw Helston make 202-4 declared in a 28-over game with victory followed by 76 runs. Grampound Road beat Paul convincingly by 99 runs after making 235-6  but it was close at Newquay where St Erme prevailed by just six runs. Redruth seconds bounced back from conceding 300 the previous week to make 256 at home to Falmouth and win by 47 runs. Lanhydrock won their bottom-of-the-table clash at Werrington by six wickets. Penzance lost their Royal London Cup third-round replay on Sunday with Bridgwater making 188  all out in the 40 overs.  Penzance were dismissed for 163 with all-rounder Tom Wells having to retire after five balls with a serious shoulder injury.

In Division 4 East Cornwall Chief Cricket Officer Joe Skinner made 122 and Paul Menhinnick 150 not out in a 281 opening stand for Wadebridge thirds against Bude seconds at Pencarrow.
