The gap at both the top and bottom of the Bond Timber ECB Cornwall  Premier League has widened with Penzance now 29 points clear of the field while Grampound Road are 29 points adrift at the foot of the table. Penzance wasted no time in taking maximum points at Wadebridge bowling the hosts out for 106 in 37 overs. Only opener Tom Mclachlan (24) and skipper Callum Wilson (29) offered much resistance. Tom Wells took 3-12 and Tom Dinnis 3-26 from ten overs. Christian Purchase hit 54 not out as the eight-wicket win came in 22 overs. Truro are up to second after three wins on the bounce. They overtook St Just who made 190-7 at Cape Road. Neil Curnow hit 57 with Joel Brierley taking 3-31. An unbeaten 112 from Rahul Dalal secured a six-wicket success with five overs to spare. Camborne are third after also winning three in a row. They made 211-9 in the derby against Redruth at Roskear. Returning Chris Gibson, at the top of the order, and Liam Weeks in the middle both made 73. Craig Williams picked up 3-28. Redruth slipped to 91-5 before opener Toby Whiteford hit 77 in their 181 all out. Martin Jenkin did the early damage with 3-19. Callington got back to winning ways with a 129 run home win over St Austell. Luke Brenton and Dan Davis both hit 63 in the 241-7. Gary Bone returned 3-39 from ten overs. The Saints were dismissed for 112 with Mike Bone making 25. Sam Pengelly took 4-32.  The bottom two met at Grampound Road with Werrington finally getting their first win, at the seventh attempt, to open up a gap. Adam Hodgson anchored the innings with 85 before Mark Gribble made 60 not out. The Road got to 99-2 but lost their last eight wickets for 15 runs. Ben Smeeth caused the problems with 5-18. Earlier Chris Roberts made 33.

In County Division One the top five all took maximum points bar leaders Hayle who dropped two at home to St Erme. Jack Evans made 88 for the visitors in their 201-6. Tom Sharp took 4-31 and then hit 76 as Hayle won by four wickets.  Callum Edgcombe picked up 5-51. Falmouth swept to an eight- wicket win at Redruth seconds after being set 182. Richard Kellow took four wickets before brother Scott made 74. Helston remain in equal second after Gorran conceded, with only six players available. Beacon impressed at St Austell seconds racking up 301-6 with Jordan Thomas hitting 80 not out and half-centuries for Craig Thomas and Dan Mellor. St Austell were all out for 99. Paul made the long trek to Werrington and won by eight wickets after being set 102. Jack Lugg made an unbeaten fifty. Newquay were shot out for 63 at Lanhydrock with Jamie Eldridge taking 5-16 and a seven-wicket victory soon following.

All four semi-finals were played last week in the main T20 competitions. In the Clive Rosevear Insurance Hawkey Cup Mike and Gary Bone both hit 35 in the 38 run win at Newquay. James Turpin made an unbeaten 55 to see Wadebridge to an eight-wicket win over Callington after the visitors were reduced to 108-8. The final between St Austell and Wadebridge, at the traditional St Austell venue, is a day earlier than originally planned, next Tuesday 6 July at 6pm

This year’s Bradley’s Vinter Cup Final has been rescheduled for Wednesday 21 July at Camborne between Helston and holders Penzance. Helston beat Falmouth by seven wickets at Redruth to reach their first final since 1990. Karl Leathley made 64 not out in pursuit of 103. Penzance comfortably beat St Just at Helston by nine wickets after being set 113. Tom Wells made 55 not out.

Following the quarter-finals last week the Clive Rosevear Cup Finals Day on Sunday 18 July at Lanhydrock will see St Blazey II take on St Neot followed by Callington III against Grampound Road III.

Callington’s Royal London Club Championship third-round tie with Bridgwater was washed out on Sunday and postponed to next Sunday at Moores Park.
