Welcome to Cornwall Cricket Board - Cath Horne

Cornwall Cricket Board (CCB) would like to welcome Cath Horne as a volunteer Non-Executive Director.

CCB are continuing to grow our skills based board and are excited to have the support from Cath who comes with a wealth of experience of governance, but most importantly working with and supporting people from within the community.

Cath Horne said, "I was brought up in a family that loved both playing and watching cricket, and from a young age I continued that tradition through school and into adulthood until an ACL injury and later back surgery ended my playing days. In recent years I have been an ACO Umpire in Cornwall and hope to return next season following recent knee surgery.

Alongside my passion for cricket, I bring experience in leadership, public service, and community engagement that I believe would add real value to the trustee role with Cornwall Cricket.

As a Baptist Minister, I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, helping build inclusive and supportive communities through leadership, communication, pastoral care, and teamwork. I also serve as Chair and Trustee of Porthleven Public Hall and as a Councillor with Porthleven Town Council, giving me experience in governance, community development, and supporting local organisations.

These experiences have helped me develop strong people skills, teamwork, and a genuine passion for helping communities grow, qualities I will bring enthusiastically to Cornwall Cricket."
