Penzance through to National Semi-Final

Penzance are through to the ECB National Club Championship semi-finals for the first time after a convincing win at Middleton yesterday.

 

They dismissed the Sussex side for only 69 and went on to win by nine wickets.

Penzance will host the Essex side Wanstead & Snaresbrook on 17th August for a place in the September Lord's final.

 

Meanwhile, at Truro yesterday, Cornwall's record books were rewritten as professional Alex Blake broke the 87-year-old highest individual score record.

 

He ended on 208 as Cornwall made 394 for 8 declared.
