Cornwall Cricket Board Hosts Successful Metro Bank Women & Girls Networking Event at Beacon CC
Cornwall Cricket Board, in partnership with Metro Bank, proudly hosted a CPD Networking Event last Sunday, 13th July, at Beacon Cricket Club. The event ran alongside the Cornwall Women’s double-header T20 Vitality Blast fixtures against Suffolk and celebrated the passion, progress, and potential of women and girls’ cricket in the region.
The event brought together dedicated volunteers and coaches involved in the women and girls’ game across Cornwall, offering a platform to connect, share experiences, and explore innovative coaching practices. During the break between matches, attendees were treated to an engaging ‘half-time play’ session featuring live coaching demonstrations. Coaches showcased a range of fun and practical drills, providing inspiration and ideas to take back to their own training environments.
As a token of appreciation for their ongoing commitment, all volunteers were treated to hospitality during the second game — including complimentary drinks and meals — generously provided by Metro Bank, a proud advocate and supporter of women and girls in cricket.
The day proved to be a valuable blend of networking, learning, and celebration, reinforcing the strong sense of community within the female cricketing landscape in Cornwall.
Following the success of this event, Cornwall Cricket Board will be running additional events. Details will be released shortly.
