Rex Rogers RIP
Belatedly, and with apologies to the family, the League recently learned of the passing of Rex Rogers, aged 89, on 15 August 2024 at his Summercourt home.
Rex served the League for almost thirty years joining the Eastern Umpires panel in 1971 before retiring in 1999.
He became the Eastern Umpires Secretary in 1981 and continued until the East & West panels merged in 1993.
He continued with appointments in the east.
He also served on the Eastern Sectional Committee and was made a League Vice-President in 2003 in honour of his service.
