Cornwall Cricket Board Appoints Jack Thomas as Senior Women’s Head Coach
Cornwall Cricket Board is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jack Thomas as the new Senior Women’s Head Coach. Jack, who has been an integral part of our Pathways coaching team for several years, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this new role.
Jack’s extensive work with the Pathways program has already made him a valuable member of the Cornwall Cricket community. His passion for developing players and fostering talent aligns perfectly with the goals of the Senior Women’s team.
Jack Said: “I'm really proud and excited to be given the opportunity of Senior Women's Coach for Cornwall Cricket Board. This is something I'm very passionate about and with a new structure introduced to the Women's game by the ECB, it's a really exciting time for Women's Cricket in Cornwall. Giving the women's game a fresh start with a more formal pathway, creating new opportunities for new and current players to progress their cricket careers to the next level, not only at representative level but filtering down through our CAG and Club communities give us the chance to really influence and drive the Women's and Girl's game in Cornwall forwards. I feel with my diverse career to date I have lots to offer and contribute to shaping the future of our Women's game. I can't wait to get started!”
Cornwall Cricket Board Managing Director Joe Skinner added: “It is exciting times for women's cricket in Cornwall and the Country with the new ECB structure. This provides a great opportunity to level the playing field with the male game. Having conducted a recruitment process we are delighted to appoint Jack Thomas into the role as Cornwall Senior Women's Head Coach. Having known Jack now for a couple of years working within the Youth Pathway, we know he is an extremely conscientious coach with a commitment to creating positive relationships that will drive Cornwall Senior Women's cricket forwards.”
Jack succeeds Robin Trethowan, who has delivered exceptional results and laid a solid foundation for the continued growth and success of the Senior Women’s team. The Cornwall Cricket Board extends its heartfelt gratitude to Robin for his outstanding contributions in recent years.
