Penzance won the WT Edwards Cup for the ninth time and fifth in the seven finals since 2017. Following a bright start conditions deteriorated to an overcast and cool evening at Truro Cricket Club. Callington won the toss but were contained to 40 in the six-over powerplay for the loss of Aidan Libby (22). Having been 70-1 at the halfway mark Kian Burns was dismissed shortly after for 32. Graham Wagg was stumped off Andrew Libby for nine and Matthew Shepherd was lbw next ball. Liam Lindsay went on to hold the innings together before being dismissed in the last over for 59 including 2 sixes and 7 fours off 44 balls.
Requiring 150 Christian Purchase and Ben Seabrook (36) added 57 for the first wicket inside six overs. Purchase was caught and bowled by Ben Ellis off the first ball of the eleventh over with 93 on the board. Player of the Match Dylan Blignaut (42no) and Grant Stone (34no) comfortably chased down the target with eight wickets and 14 balls to spare.
