Cornwall v Somerset Showcase game comes to Truro

The showcase game is an opportunity for National Counties to test themselves against the best players in the country as county teams take on a first class team. Cornwall will take on Somerset for their showcase with the game starting at 11am.

Managing director of Cornwall Cricket Board Joe Skinner said: “This has always been a great occasion with first class cricket players playing cricket in Cornwall and we are grateful to Somerset County Cricket Club for coming into the county. It is an opportunity for people to see players play who are at the top of their game and compete with Cornwall’s top players. There will be opportunities for our cricket communities to develop also, such as our Disability cricket group, who aim to develop life and employability skills, as well as watch a great game of cricket.”    

Cornwall Cricket Board provides adults and children aged 5 years and upwards with the opportunity to take part in the sport across the county. It is also the official governing body for all cricket in Cornwall and is responsible and accountable to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the National Governing Body, for the strategic management, development and conduct of the sport.
