Constantine 91-2 (15.4) (S Kellow 34 ret no, J Gardner 30 ret no, M Howell 16no) by eight wickets. Player of the Match – Jack Gardner.
Constantine won the Mining Division Evening League for the first time with an eight-wicket win over Perranarworthal at Falmouth. The game was postponed by 24 hours due to rain and played under overcast skies. Perranarworthal lost their first four wickets for 31 runs with Kaiden Williams removing openers Paul Howard and Tom Freeman. Skipper Ben Toulson was the only batter to reach double figures being last out for 32 as Perran were bowled out for 90 off the penultimate ball.
After losing Robert Gardner early Scott Kellow (34) and young Jack Gardner (30) both made thirties before reaching the mandatory retirement mark. Mawgan Howell (16no) secured the win with over four overs to spare.
Constantine skipper Charlie Campbell received the 'Michael Evans Trophy' from League Vice-Chair Robert Jobson.
Constantine will meet WPEL winners St Just in the West Cornwall Evening League Challenge Match on Wednesday 2 August at 6 pm.
