"Mount Ambrose Cricket Club are saddened to announce the passing of Claude Johnson on Sunday 29^th Jan at St Julias Hospice aged 89.

Claude was Club President until very recently (2012/21).

He was also a former Club Secretary in 1968/69 and 1971/73,  and also 2^nd Team capt in 1985.

Claude remarkably played over five decades starting in the season 1959, and last turned out for the maroon and gold in 1998.

Claude was a very popular, and well-liked character, whether playing with him or against him.

He will be so very much missed by everyone connected with Mount Ambrose Cricket Club

Our thoughts are with Claude's family and friends at this very difficult time.“
