St Austell came out victorious in the County Under 15s final, defeating Perranporth at St Stephen CC.

Having been asked to bat, Perranporth faced accurate bowling throughout the innings with Monty Willings top scoring with 17 as Ben Carter, Jack Carter, Ryan Bennetts and Charlie King each took 2 wickets in the Perranporth total of 80-9.

In reply St Austell lost 3 early wickets but a 33 run partnership between Ben Carter (27no) and Jack Mallet (19) took the score to 6 from victory. 3 wickets did then fall for 1 run, but Carter struck the winning run with 13 balls to spare and 4 wickets in hand.

St Austell will now go on to represent Cornwall against the Devon winners in the next round of the National Cup.
