West Cornwall Table Cricket Finals Held at Penryn College
The West Cornwall Table Cricket finals took place today at Penryn College, with four schools, Curnow, Penryn, Hayle, and Helston, competing for a place in the county finals.
The tournament featured a series of closely contested matches, with every team showcasing impressive skill and determination. After a morning of hard-fought games, Helston and Hayle emerged as the top two teams, securing their spots in the final.
The final match proved to be a thriller. In a tense last over, Helston managed to edge ahead, clinching victory by just 7 runs.
Both Helston and Hayle have now qualified for the Grand Final, which will be held at the Cornwall Cricket Centre on January 14th. The winner of that event will earn the honour of representing Cornwall in the national Table Cricket competition.
