St Just’s great start to the Premier League season continued with a six-wicket home win over Grampound Road. The visitors recovered well from 10-5 to make 132-8 thanks to 65no from Virendra Yadav. Penzance eased to a six-wicket win at Redruth who were dismissed for 86 with Greg Smith taking 6-22. Callington did well to beat Camborne by three wickets after Lewis Goldsworthy made 90 for the visitors. Robert Mutch led the run chase with a hard hit 49 not out. Wadebridge won at St Austell by 37 runs with Matt Robins taking 4-29 after Tom Mclachlan and Kelvin Snell both made 42. Truro got off the mark with a 34 run home win over Werrington with county skipper Scott Harvey getting a fifty.

In County Division 1 Hayle remain top after a narrow 16 run win at Paul. Helston remain in close contention after a solid batting display at Lanhydrock saw them to 255-5. Will Eva then took 5-50 in the 140 runs win. Falmouth eased to a ten-wicket home win over St Austell seconds with four wickets for Richard Kellow before his brother Scott made an unbeaten 89. Jack Thomas took 6-20 in Beacon’s ten-wicket win at Gorran. Spencer Wilcock hit 69 in St Erme’s 104 run win over Newquay. There was a close finish at Werrington with Redruth seconds winning by five runs after Will Trenoweth made 61 not out.
