Andrew Kent, Chairman of the  Cornwall Cricket League, congratulated Penzance and  said: “the new competition had been developed in conjunction with St Austell Brewery after Premier League players suggested T20 cricket on Saturdays to fill in the gap at the start of the season, and it has been a real success”.

“Players wanted a fun and vibrant tournament like this, and it’s great to see the numbers of people watching. Thanks to the support of Tribute branding, the grounds have been colourful, the umpires have worn new outfits, and the clubs have embraced the new pink ball format. The high standards of play and performance of some of the younger players supports the view that we can look forward to further seasons of the Tribute T20 Kernow Crash.”

Marc Bishop, Trade Marketing Manager for St Austell Brewery, said: “St Austell Brewery has a long history of supporting grass roots sport in the region and we’re really happy to be involved in a great new competition like this. Well done to Penzance CC for winning, and to all the teams that took part.”

In 2013 Tribute became the main title sponsor of Somerset County Cricket and appears on shirts in all forms of the game. In addition, Tribute is sponsor of Gloucestershire County Cricket team.
