All venues are confirmed bar the Trophy game away to Berkshire.

T20 Super 12s is a new format in 2024.   

There are 5 divisions of 4 teams and the top two plus two best thirds go into the Super 12's.  

Super 12’s on Sunday 19 May - 4 groups of 3 teams with winners to the National Finals Day the following Sunday 26 May .

Highest Points Scorer hosts Super 12’s – NCCA override

Nominated Super 12’s Venues : Truro, Exmouth, Wimborne, Panteg, Eastnor, Whitchurch, Wiltshire & Berkshire? West Herts,

 

No play or only one game completed on the day – Highest Group Stage points progress.

Team wins both – progress to Finals Day. Team loses both – two winners decided by NRR.

The format change should see the end of dead rubbers and less travel in the group stages.

 

The season is starting two weeks later than last year. on 28 April.

 

St Austell requested not to be considered for a three-day game. St Austell first staged a two-day game in 1982 and has staged 38 championship matches plus two were switched to Truro on the third day in 2007 & 2008 due to a waterlogged ground. The only other missing years have been 1999, 2009 and the covid year of 2020. 

We have won 10, drew 17 and lost 11. We have only3 been defeated twice in the last 20 games since 2000. Devon in 2006 & Shropshire in 2014. There have been 7 wins in the period.

After a 30-year gap Helston returns as a Championship venue. The last of their 11 Championship games from 1970 was Cheshire’s ten-wicket win in 1994. This year's opponents Oxfordshire famously tied at Beacon Parc in 1991. Trophy games were played at Helston in 1998, 1999 & 2000.

Our last Championship visit to Banbury was in 2018 losing by 38 runs.

Chester Boughton Hall was last visited in a famous six-wicket win in 2011. A first championship win over Cheshire at the 25th attempt. Debutants Ben Kitt (18) and James Rowe (17) opened the bowling. Kitt 7-131 in the match. The pair put on 92 for the last wicket (Rowe 94, Kitt 44 no), after Tom Sharp made 77, to secure 140 run lead on the first innings. In the second innings opener, Matt Robins made 59no to clinch the win before lunch of the third day.
