Having elected to bat, Cornwall got to 28 before Max Tryfonos was dismissed for 19. The top order soon followed with Lewis Goldsworthy, Will MacVicar, and Xavie Clarke dismissed to make it 56-4 off 20 overs. Graham Wagg went on to make 29, Paul Smith 21, and Alex Bone 18, but the last four wickets fell for 17 runs to be 133 all out in the 45th over. Having earlier removed Goldsworthy and MacVicar, Edward Bragg returned to end with 5-22.
The home openers, Danny Chapman and Cam Hemp, put on 36 before Tryfonos got the breakthrough. Bucks reached 117-3 before Tryphonos struck with successive balls to end with 4-28 off 6.5 overs. The winning runs came with 16 overs to spare.
