Cornwall’s Cricketers' hopes of making it to the NCCA National T 20 Finals Day were ended when they went down to defeat against Dorset at Wadebridge.
Dorset made 188 for 4 in their 20 overs.
In reply, Cornwall were 84 for 3 at the halfway mark but wickets fell and they ended up on 170 for 8 to lose by 18 runs.
Dorset join Cheshire, Cambridgeshire and Oxfordshire at Finals Day later this month.
Game 2 Scorecard
Wadebridge - Dorset 199-3 (SJ Young 103, HE Broderick 58), Cornwall 152-8 (CBF Purchase 45; SR Woodruff 3-45). Dorset (2) beat Cornwall by 47 runs.
Following his 74 in the first game Sam Young, who played a Trophy game for Cornwall in 2018, hit an unbeaten century in the 47 run victory.
Christian Purchase made 45 off 19 balls in the Cornwall reply of 152-8.
Cornwall finished third in the group behind Dorset and Herefordshire, who did the double over Devon in the other group games.
