Somerset II v Cornwall
Cornwall did well in a two-day warm-up game against Somerset seconds at Taunton Vale last weekend. Somerset included first -teamers Josh Davey and Ollie Sale and a number of Academy players, including Archie Vaughan, son of former England captain Michael.
Cornwall made 257-9 in their first innings with skipper Scott Harvey retiring on 108 and Ben Ellis hitting 6 sixes in his 52 at the end. The hosts were restricted to 158-6 in their 60 overs. Joe Phillips made 44 in Cornwall’s second innings of 125-7 and, set 225 off 34 overs, Somerset drew the match on 88-4. Adam Snowdon took 3-18 on his Senior debut.
