Cornwall batted out the final day of their NCCA Championship season to earn a draw against the division winners Herefordshire, at St Austell. On day one Herefordshire added 77 for their last three wickets to end on 235. Scott Harvey took four catches and a stumping. Cornwall were dismissed for 149 to trail by 86 runs. Herefordshire declared 35 minutes into the third morning on 220-7, though it did take them 83 overs with Ellis Whiteford taking 5-58 from 29 overs.
It left Cornwall 307 to win from a minimum of 90 overs. Harvey (56no) and James Turpin (41no) shared a fifth-wicket stand to see hands shaken at 6pm, halfway through the final hour.
Western Division 2 Final Standings: Herefordshire 77pts, Shropshire 55, Cornwall 44, Wales NC 36 and Devon 25.
Wiltshire has been relegated from Division 1 to replace Herefordshire.
The Division 1 four-day final at Tring Park will be between Oxfordshire and Suffolk, who dramatically clinched the Eastern title with an 89 run last-wicket stand.

Cornwall make three changes from the side that lost to Shropshire at Bridgnorth by six wickets to end any title hopes. Seventeen year old Truro batsman Joe Phillips is called up for his first championship game.
Also included is James Turpin who was unavailable for the last game and Ben Twohig, who played at Wales, is recalled.
They replace Paul Smith who fractured a thumb fielding in Shropshire’s first innings, the unavailable Chris Gibson and Charlie Kent.
Herefordshire secured the Western Division 2 title when they made it three wins in a row with a 70 run success over Wales National Counties at Eastnor on Tuesday.
It’s the first time since June 2003 that Cornwall have played Championship games on successive weekends.
