Werrington retained the Clive Rosevear Hawkey Cup last night with a 42 run win over the hosts St Austell at Wheal Eliza.
Man of the Man Paul Smith made 63 and Adam Hodgson 51 in Werrington’s 175 for 5.
They put on 114 for the second wicket in ten overs after Gary Bone dismissed Matt Robins for 19 in the seventh over.
Mike Bone was unbeaten on 57 in the St Austell reply of 133 for 8.
Also there was a high scoring Dawe Andrew Cup semi-final at Camborne last night.
Holders Camborne seconds made 183 for 4 but Perranporth reached the target for the loss of one wicket, with 11 balls to spare.
Truro thirds host Wendron in tonight’s second semi-final at Boscawen Park at 6.30pm.
