The Brian Johnston Memorial Trust have awarded travel grants to support travel expenses to Rebecca Odgers, Keesan Stewart and Solly Hicks.
Rebecca Odgers, has to travel all over the South West for regional training camps and at times up to Loughborough for development sessions, so this will help her continue to develop as a player and be part of the next level.
Keesan Stewart and Solly Hicks, both from the IOS, have to fund their travel to and from the islands to enable them to take part in training and the match programme, so this will help them both continue to play the game which they love.
Rebecca Odgers said, “ It is fantastic to receive a grant from the Brian Johnston Memorial Trust. It will be extremely helpful with my cricket training and development. Huge thanks to Cornwall Cricket for their help in pursuing this for me”
Solly stated, “A big thank you for the grant which will really help with travel costs from Scilly to Cornwall so that I can keep going to the amazing cricket coaching at Cornwall Cricket – I really love it – it’s a great opportunity to really improve my cricket skills!
Cornwall Cricket are extremely grateful to theBrian Johnston Memorial Trust for supporting our three players who have extraordinary travel demands. We are sure when sessions are permitted again and the players are able to travel to and from sessions that the grant will be gratefully used.
