Cornwall Cricket is delighted to announce that our ECB Pitch Adviser, Simon Johnson, has been appointed as the Institute of Groundsmanship South West England Pitch Adviser. Simon will take up his new full-time role later this month after he has finished his duties as Head Greenkeeper at Falmouth Golf Club.
Simon Menneer, Cornwall Cricket CEO, commented “This is outstanding news for Cornish Cricket as it means that our Pitch Adviser will have the full resources of the IoG at his disposal. It is also a ringing endorsement of Simon’s expertise.”
Simon Johnson said “I am absolutely delighted to have been offered this new role and look forward to working with the dedicated groundsmen of Cornwall. I would also like to thank Falmouth Golf Club without whom I would never have been able to apply for this role. They have been terrific.”
