In yesterday’s LWC Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League Penzance are the early leaders after recovering well to beat Werrington by 63 runs. After being 46 for 5 they made 182 and then dismissed the North Cornwall club for 119.


Champions Truro slipped up losing at Redruth by 17 runs. The Reds made 200 for 8 and Truro ended on 183 for 8.


Falmouth made 244 for 7 at Grampound Road with Grant Stone hitting 130 not out. The Road were 154 all out.


Callington got their first win with an 86 run victory at Camborne. They made 214 for 6 with Camborne all out for 128.


Wadebridge won a low scoring game at home to St Austell by 22 runs. Wadebridge made 113 and then dismissed the Saints for 91.



In County Division 1 the results were:


Newquay 156 all out beat  Gorran 104 all out


Roche 194 all out lost to  Beacon 198 for 8


Redruth seconds 111 all out beat Rosudgeon 74 all out


Lanhydrock 180 all out  lost to  St Erme 183 for 7


Troon 77 all out lost to  Helston 78 for 2


Launceston 196 all out  lost to  Werrington seconds 199 for 8



Today  Cornwall play Devon in two T20 games at Truro Cricket Club. Play gets underway at 11am with free entry.
