Premier League  Penzance win (224), Werrington win (197), Redruth win (195)

County 1: Camborne lose by 1 run, Beacon lose by 1 run    Redruth win by 1 run – just 5 bonus points cover the top three with six games to play.

Wadebridge captain Callum Wilson takes 9-19 from 10 overs to bowl Truro out for 46.


The top three in the Bond Timber Cornwall Premier League all had convincing wins yesterday to leave Penzance  27 points ahead of Werrington with Redruth two points further behind.

Penzance made 292 for 5 at St Just with Jack Paull making 80 not out.

St Just were dismissed for 197 to lose by 95 runs.

Werrington scored 285 for 6 at home to Grampound Road with Matt Robins hitting 115 not out.

The Road were all out for 199 to lose by 86 runs.

Redruth piled up 321 for 6 against Falmouth at Trewirgie.

Toby Whiteford made 131.

Falmouth were all out for 157.

Wadebridge captain Callum Wilson rewrote the history books at Truro by taking the first nine wickets for 19 runs, the third best figures in 30 years of Premier League cricket.

Truro were all out for 46 and lost by ten wickets.

St Austell were all out for 150 at home to Callington.

Callington were 92 for 3 at one stage but collapsed to 127 all out to lose by 23 runs.

There was a remarkable day in County Division 1 where the top three teams were all involved in games decided by just one run.

Leaders Camborne lost at Lanhydrock by 146 runs  to 145.

Second placed Beacon lost at home to third placed Redruth seconds by 135 runs  to 134.

The other results were

Gorran beat Ludgvan by 121 runs.

Helston beat St Austell by four wickets.

Launceston beat Rosudgeon by six wickets

Troon beat Werrington seconds  by 175 runs

Today the Vitality Club T20 Area Finals take place at Penzance.

Penzance will play Tiverton Heathcoat in the first game at 10am.

In a round robin both teams will then play Bath in the afternoon.
