As the Saturday night newspaper deadline has been advanced by TWO hours for 2019 it is just impossible to receive and get everything typed up and submitted by 7.30pm in time for publication.

Therefore the live Summary Results page will, as it stands,  update throughout Saturday evening and on Sundays

 

Premier League  Penzance win (303), Redruth win (272)   – two games  to play. At the bottom Falmouth (101), Callington (109) and they meet at Falmouth on the final day.

County 1:  Camborne win (356),  Beacon lose (321)   Redruth win (330)  – two games  to play

Penzance need 10 points from their last two games to take the  Bond Timber Cornwall Premier League title.

 

They won at Callington yesterday by 205 runs after making 290 for 5.

Antony Angove made 124 not out.

Callington were dismissed for 85 with Greg Smith taking 6 for 27.

 

Redruth made 307 for 5 at Truro with Christian Purchase hitting 153 not out.

Truro ended on 171 for 9 to lose by 136 runs.

 

Werrington hit 205 for 9 at Wadebridge with Adam Hodgson scoring 94 and Charlie Ellis taking 6 for 33.

Wadebridge won by 5 wickets with Kevin Renecke scoring 77 in their 209 for 5.

 

St Just were bowled out for 182 at St Austell with James Carter picking up 6 for 33.

St Austell were shot out for 49 by Dan Lello who took 5 for 31.

 

Falmouth are 8 points adrift of Callington at the bottom after losing to Grampound Road by six wickets.

Falmouth were bowled out for 177 and the Road were 179 for 4.

 

In County Division 1 Camborne require 14 points from their last two games to take the title. The results were:

 

Camborne beat Rosudgeon by seven wickets.

Lanhydrock beat Beacon by five wickets.

Redruth seconds beat St Austell seconds by 230 runs.

Werrington seconds beat Launceston by 218 runs.

Ludgvan beat Helston by 25 runs

Troon beat Gorran by 79 runs

 

Today the EdenMotorhomes Division 2 T20 Finals Day takes place at Redruth Cricket Club.

Newquay play Truro seconds at 10.30am and Hayle take on Mount Hawke & Porthtowan at 1.30pm with the final at 4.30pm.

 

Also in a Charity T20 day Callington host Callington Over 50’s from 1 pm
