The top 5 teams all won in the LWC Drinks Cornwall Premier League yesterday on a day when history was made.


All 5 games were decided by the Duckworth Lewis Method due to rain interruptions.


Falmouth were bowled out for 133 by the leaders Penzance who won by six wickets.

They were 73 for 4 off 21 overs but ahead by 12 runs on Duckworth Lewis when rain stopped play.


Grampound Road made 314 for 8 against Redruth with Ravindra Karunarathna making 147.

Redruth reached their 20 overs target of 158 with five wickets and two balls to spare.


Wadebridge were bowled out for 180 at Truro who reached their 21 overs target of 101 for the loss of one wicket.


Werrington made 274-6  at home to Camborne with Paul Smith hitting 90.

Camborne ended on 186 for 6 in 40 overs to fall short of their D/L target by 63 runs.


St Just hit 256 for 4 declared at Callington with Dan Lello making 117 not out and Neil Curnow 84.

Callington ended on 179 for 9 in 45 overs also falling short of their D/L target by 63 runs.


St Just (19 points) beat Callington (six) by 63 runs (D/L method). Target 240 in 45 overs.

Redruth (19 points) beat Grampound Road (seven) by five wickets (D/L method). Target 158 in 20 overs.

Penzance (20 points) beat Falmouth (four) by 12 runs (D/L method). Par 61 Score after 21 overs.

Truro (20 points) beat Wadebridge (four) by nine wickets (D/L method). Target 101 in 21 overs.

Werrington (18 points) beat Camborne (seven) by 63 runs (D/L) method. Target 250 in 40 overs.


In County Division 1 only one game finished.


Helston 294 for 5 beat Werrington seconds 128 all out


The other five were all abandoned shortly after tea.


The scores were:


Troon 248 for 9, Beacon 64 for 3.

Gorran 300 all out, St Erme did not bat.

Rosudgeon 135 all out, Lanhydrock 37 for 2.

Launceston 164 all out, Redruth 44 for 4.

Roche 220 all out, Newquay 77 for 1.


Today Cornwall Women are away to Dorset at Hamworthy near Poole.
