Matt Robins steps down as County Captain

Matthew Robins has stood down as captain of Cornwall County Cricket Club. He took over mid way through the 2013 season, following the retirement of Tom Sharp. Team Manager Godfrey Furse congratulated him on leading the side over the past five seasons.

He led the county to their only one-day title in 2015, when they won the Unicorns Knock Out Trophy. The following season Cornwall finished runners up in the Western Division of the Championship. In addition to the 2012 title only the second time achieved since the two division format began in 1983.

The County Club Committee are delighted to propose the partnership of Matthew Rowe as the new captain with Scott Harvey as vice-captain. They were unanimously approved as nominations for election at the Annual Meeting in early March.
