Matt Butler’s 275 Tops the National Stats

There was a remarkable game in Division 2 East at St Minver on Saturday 27 April where Ladock hit 404-8.

Matt Butler made a mammoth 275, including 17 sixes and 23 fours.

The third highest Individual score in league history.

He put on 197 for the first wicket with Richard Bray (34) and was eventually dismissed at 402-5 as five wickets fell for four runs at the end of the innings.

In reply St Minver hit a creditable 345-8 with Ben Hawken scoring 109 in a game that produced 750 runs.

St Minver – Ladock 405-8 (M Butler 275, R Bray 34, A Egford 27, A Wakeley 20; M Turner 2-24, R Hawken 2-27, R Pooley 2-65),

St Minver 345-9 (B Hawken 109, R Pooley 64, S Hawke 54, R Hawken 31, M Turner 26; A Abbott 3-33, R Bray 3-50, P Morgan 2-62).

Ladock (19 points) beat St Minver (nine) by 60 runs.
